IFRS Foundation, the UN Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative (UNSSE) and IFC hosted the first two global training sessions

On April 29 and May 8, the IFRS Foundation, the UN Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative (UNSSE) and IFC hosted the first two global training sessions of the year on the IFRS Foundation Sustainability Disclosure Standards (commonly known as the ‘ISSB Standards’). These sessions successfully brought together listed companies and market participants from over 130 countries around the world. Over 1,500 participants attended, representing a diverse array of stakeholders.
The workshops provided expert-led, high-quality training on the new sustainability disclosure standards, offered at no cost to participants. Attendees actively engaged with the content, submitting more than 300 thoughtful questions. These inquiries were addressed by experts from the IFRS Foundation’s capacity building and technical teams, as well as representatives from the UN SSE and IFC.
The recording and presentation from the April 29 workshop are available online here. The recording from the May 8 workshop is accessible here.
Future sessions on applying the ISSB standards are planned in different markets. You can see all forthcoming workshops here.
