Deep-dive Training on IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards for Banks – November 18 and 20, 2025
On November 18 and 20, the UNEP FI, the Alliance for Green Commercial Banks, the Sustainable Banking and Finance Network, the IFRS Foundation, the UN Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative (UNSSE) and IFC are hosting two global workshops on IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards for Banks.
These interactive sessions will bring together financial sector regulators, industry leaders, and sustainability disclosure practitioners to deepen understanding of the ISSB’s IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 standards – the global baseline for sustainability and climate-related reporting. The workshops will provide practical insights into the implications for the banking sector and demonstrate how financial institutions can align with these standards to enhance transparency, comparability, and access to sustainable finance.
Each event will feature expert presentations from the IFRS Foundation, case studies from leading banks, and interactive discussions on implementation approaches across emerging and developed markets. Participants will also gain early access to supporting materials developed by IFC and partners to guide banks in preparing for ISSB-aligned disclosures.
